The book of Philippians in the Bible is all about partnership in the gospel. The Philippian Church supports Paul in his ministry in three ways: they pray for him (Philippians 1:19); they send Epaphroditus to help Paul in his ministry (Philippians 2:25); and they send money for the work (Philippians 4:18).
As we seek the advance of the gospel in Morecambe, we find that we need the very same three things from people outside the church who are committed to the same gospel of Jesus Christ: prayer, people, and money.
Prayer is our number one need. On our own we can do nothing: we are completely dependent on God for everything. We need people who will commit to praying for us. Contact us if you'd like to pray for us.
We have a great team of people, but we would love it if more keen Christians saw Morecambe as where they could serve Christ as you 'continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling' (Philippians 2:12). Please contact Gerry Straker if getting involved in this Morecambe gospel work is something that excites you.
Despite the generosity of our Church family, Church by the Bay isn't able to fund all the work we are doing. We do not have any high earners and Morecambe is not a wealthy area and so we need external support.
We are very grateful for the many Christians and churches who have supported us so far. And we would be very grateful for any gift however large or small that will help this gospel work in Morecambe to grow.
Thank you for considering supporting Church by the Bay.
