Autumn 2026 at Church by the Bay

Here's what's happening in the coming Autumn at Church by the Bay  - come and hear some good news for a change!

Our next Quiz night is 8-10pm on Friday September 4th at the Alhambra bar (56 Marine Road West, LA4 4EU). Come with a few friends or join a team on the night. It's free - buy drinks at the bar -  it's fun, and I'll be sharing some food for thought from the Bible for a few minutes in the middle. 

If you have pre-schoolers, Babygrows restarts on Thursday 10th September 9-10:30am with refreshments, toys, storytime, singing time. All welcome, and it's free! 

C3 Youth is our (free!) Monday night youth group for 11-16s, 6pm-7:30pm. Games, snacks, Bible at our Church building - 91 Balmoral Road. It starts again on Monday 14th September. We would love to see your young people. 

Our next Silver Service for over 55s will be on Wednesday 16th September 11am to 12:30pm at our Church building, 91 Balmoral Road, LA3 1SS. Lunch, chat, tea and coffee, and a look at what God has to say to us today from the Bible. If you're the right age, do join us! (We ask for a donation of £4 to help cover costs). 

Have you looked at the 321 course yet? It's a set of short videos to show you the good news of Jesus Christ for you to look at in your own time. It considers a bit of John's gospel and Glen Scrivener is a really engaging presenter. You do need to sign up with an email address (but they won't bombard you with emails - I've done the course and really enjoyed it, and they only sent me one email). Take a look here.

Come along on to Church on a Sunday to Westgate School - 10am for refreshments, 10:30am for Church - all welcome! Church by the Bay is for Christians, those thinking about things and people with questions. You are most welcome to just come and listen and ask us questions afterwards.

On termtime Sundays after Church and refreshments, at around 12noon - 12:30pm, we have kids groups with loads of fun and time to reflect on what they've heard in Church that morning.

Starting after Church on Sunday 11th October 12noon - 12:30pm we are running our Christianity Explored course. A video to watch, a bit of Mark's gospel to look at and time for your questions. Come to Church, and after coffee time, join Pam and John and they lead Christianity Explored. The course is on offer on Sundays 11th, 18th October, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th November. Any question welcome!
