Half-term week & Books!

This week is half-term so our usual mid-week groups take a break as our staff and volunteers take a rest from the usual activities. But at Church by the Bay, we love reading and half-term is a great chance to grab a couple of hours here and there to read a good book.

If you haven't ever or haven't for a while, read an account of Jesus' life and death (called gospels) then we'd really recommend getting a nice brew and sitting down and having a read - we have free ones available at church and our church building, 91 Balmoral Road.

In a couple of weeks, we're also having a book group discussing 'The Great Divorce' by C S Lewis. This book is about heaven and hell. We'll be meeting in the evening on Sunday 28th June so do grab yourself a copy and join us!
