Matthew 16 - 20 Jerusalem
By Gerry Straker, 25 Sep 2015

In Matthew 11 - 16 we saw people were making all sorts of decisions about Jesus - but actually He was making decisions about them.
Now, Jesus sets out for Jerusalem, and on the way He teaches his disciples about his death. At the same time He teaches who will be in His Kingdom.
Jesus turns our assumptions upside down - He offers the gift of eternal life to children and all who come to Him like children: needy, helpless and dependent.
No amount of hard work from do-gooders, high flyers or top of the class people can earn the free gift Jesus has to offer.
