Reformation Day
By Lauren McCabe, 19 Oct 2025
Every year on 31st October we join a number of churches across the world and celebrate Reformation Day - thanking God for the light of God's Word given to His Church.
Why 31st October? On that day in 1517 Martin Luther posted his 95 theses (statements for discussion) on the door of the Church at Wittenberg, and that date is considered now as the beginning of the Reformation - clearing away the fog of Church tradition and enjoying again the sunshine of God's Word.

We also have lots more teaching on church history and the reformation, you find them here in our 'The rest is church history' series.
