Summer book: A foot in two worlds

By Gerry Straker, 26 Jul 2016

Our book of the term: A Foot in Both Worlds by John Chapman.

The author writes:

I have been a Christian for 60 years. That's a long time to give something a try, and it puts me in a position to recommend it...However...right from the beginning, I also found living as a Christian much more difficult than I had imagined. It was one thing to say: 'Lord Jesus, please take all of my life and use me in your service". It was entirely another thing to do it...The long and the short of it is that I have reached the stage where I am happy to say that living the Christian life is both good - really good - but also hard...This book is designed to help s see that this constant battle to live a life pleasing to God is not only normal but God's way of strengthening us and making us Christ-like...We are in fact, people with a foot in two worlds.

This is a great book to help us live the Christian life!

We're meeting Wednesday 24th August to discuss it - at 91 Balmoral Road - get your copy from our book table (£4) or by clicking on the book and buying online.
